STAT Emergency Center of Laredo prides itself in the quality emergency care they provide to the community. Enhancing our community involvement is vitally important to us as well; whether we are part of a health fair, community event, or simply raising/donating funds for a good cause. We believe education is key to a successful future, and that is the main reason we strive to assist in the educational development of our local students whenever the opportunity arises.

Recently we came across a social media post that involved a local 5th grade class from Salinas Elementary. Their sponsor, Ms. Celina Garcia’s message simply stated that after all their fundraising efforts that included car washes, plate sales, & raffles, the efforts fell short of their goal. It was at that instance STAT Emergency Center inquired about their need, and decided to proudly sponsor the children in their educational endeavor.

Grace Padron, Director of Operations said,

“We are proud to sponsor this wonderful group of children because I truly believe that they deserve to experience this trip in an effort to enhance their classroom teachings”.

It is because of their hard work and dedication to their studies that has made this decision to sponsor this class an easy one. “It is a privilege for us to contribute to the educational development of our future leaders!” continued Padron.

Ms. Celina Garcia, class sponsor said,

“An educational field trip to our historical landmarks in Washington D.C. is an excellent opportunity for our kids to expand their horizons, promote a feeling of self-worth, open a doorway to a world free from drugs, and see the real value of an education while fueling their desire to further their education and get the most out of their school year”.

We wish Ms. Garcia and the 5th grade class of Salinas Elementary a safe and wonderful trip this June! Please join us for the check presentation on Thursday, April 7th at 5:00 pm at our South location at 1023 Bob Bullock Loop.
