BioFire® Respiratory Panel 2.1 is a real-time, reverse transcriptase polymerase chain
reaction (RT-PCR) test designed to simultaneously identify nucleic acids from 22 different
viruses and bacteria associated with respiratory tract infection, including SARSCoV-2, from a
single nasopharyngeal swab (NPS) specimen. Results: Typically results are available within 45
minutes from time cartridge is placed in the module. However, turnaround time may vary due to
high surge in patient testing.
Cobas® Liat® System assay uses real-time reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction
(RT-PCR) technology to rapidly detect and differentiate between SARS-CoV-2, influenza A,
and influenza B viruses from nasopharyngeal and nasal swabs. Results: Typically results are
available within 15 minutes from time cartridge is placed in the module. However, turnaround
time may vary due to high surge in patient testing.
