“The wait is over” and the Governing Board for STAT Emergency Center is pleased to announce that the first freestanding emergency room is coming to Del Rio, Texas. We will be located at the corner of Stricklen Ave. and Veterans Blvd. Construction of the facility is scheduled to start in the summer of this year.
Stat Emergency Center is a facility licensed by the state to provide 24-hour emergency services to patients at the same level as a hospital-based emergency room. Freestanding emergency center’s wait time is consistently quicker than traditional hospital ERs. Unlike urgent-care clinics, freestanding emergency centers must be open 24/7 and have an ER physician onsite at all times.
Stat Emergency Centers’ different approach in developing and modernizing ER facilities, implementing fast registration processes, prompt triage, patient diagnosis & treatment by an emergency room physician, strict infection control measures and personalized concierge-style services, sets us apart from traditional hospital based emergency rooms. We use the latest equipment and technology of a modern hospital emergency room, including CT scans, bedside emergency ultra sound, digital radiology, clinical laboratory testing and pharmacy services.
This will be our fourth emergency room center that we build in the Southwest Texas Border Region (Laredo, Eagle Pass). We are delighted to expand our emergency room center to Del Rio and offer the community fast, friendly and easy access to emergency room care.
